Stiff Winds Orphan Yacht Racing Buoy

Strong westerly winds yesterday churned up Bay waters and severed the anchor cable of a buoy that the Yacht Racing Association (YRA) used as a course marker.  The pale yellow device, about the size of a trash can with a doughnut base, wound up on the rocks on the west side of the park.  I’ve notified the organization by email and phone but no one there was reachable on Friday or over this weekend.
