Do you have a story to tell about the park? Please post it here as a comment (if short) or submit a whole post (if long).
Terry Pedersen posted the following on nextdoor.com, reposted here by permission:
I took Butchie, wheaten mix, there as it was being transformed. We walked, he ran, the wonderful native plants section, the hillside home of the ground squirrels, for many of our ten+ years together. He often got two long walks a day. If we got separated and he tired, he’d go to Olympic Circle’s store, lie down and wait for us.
I look forward to your book. I went with friends, after seeing a play by the Shotgun group, down there to sit and watch 2000 arrive and drink champagne.
